"Thank you for consolidating so much current research on the topic of maltreatment effects on children. I have long seen its effects in the population that I've served, and now I have scientific studies to support my therapy findings. I currently work at a private outpatient pediatric clinic where I am a big proponent of parent involvement in their child's therapy and having the parents actively participate in the therapy sessions, carryover at home, etc. Now, I have lots of resources to cite to show the significance of parent involvement, early intervention, etc. Thank you! Wonderful presenter! I very much enjoyed listening to her speak." A.H. (Nov. 2023)

"I liked the importance of play, early intervention, and positive supportive relationships." J.P. (Feb. 2022)
"I enjoyed the discussion on the evidence behind forming positive relationships with our students. As an SLP, we genuinely care about our clients and want to make them feel safe and supported, but I have not given much thought as to the evidence that supports why our rapport with our clients is so important to the client’s development and even therapy goals." E.G.
"I was so pleased to gain such a volume of information about how to address the language/cognitive/social effects of neglect on young children. Although much of the content did not surprise me, it provided me with a more organized way to prioritize goals in my work with at-risk communication-impaired children and their parents in the clinical setting. I most appreciated the pace of presentation, published studies to back up treatment plans, and a positive spin on treatment. I was especially pleased to see that so much detail and practical recommendations could fit into a one-hour presentation. Well done!" P.H.
