Allows students working on different speech sounds to participate together in the same fun and effective group therapy activity.

Articulation Theatre features playfully illustrated, no-preparation play scripts targeting R, S, L, Sh, Ch, Th.

Articulation Theatre allows you to target up to 6 sounds simultaneously during group therapy!

This set of 6 books contains matching plays and pagination. The variation is that each book contains unique script lines that target one sound only: /R, S, L, Sh, Ch, Th/. As students take turns reading aloud the script lines from their book, focusing on their target sound, they are all performing together in the same humorous play. No preparation needed! These engaging play themes are incredibly motivating and provide students with the repetitive practice needed to achieve articulation goals. Effective during individual therapy sessions as well! Ages 8-15, or a 4th grade reading level. Made in the USA.

Articulation Theatre Group Speech Therapy

Engage all students in the same hands-on lesson!

How It Works:

Each book in the set focuses on one target sound.

Let's say that Ryan is working on R, Shelly on SH, and Charlie on CH. Ryan would select the R-Book, Shelly the Sh-Book and Charlie the Ch-Book.

They each open their book to the same page.

That page will feature the same play theme across all 6 books in the set. However, the script lines in each book will be unique to that target sound.

As students take turns reading aloud their lines, focusing on their target sound, they are performing together in the same humorous play

“My students made measurable progress due to their increased motivation to practice scenes. I found the books' organization, use of colors to target skills, ease of use for group therapy, and motivating humor to be extremely helpful.” – Colleen C, SLP

Customer Reviews

"I like that the books can be used alone or in mixed groups. My students love the stories. It keeps them engaged in therapy." – K.M.

"I like that these books provide a new and different way to target articulation carryover that older students enjoy. My students like that each passage or 'scene' is short and fun to read. Their target sounds are highlighted so they can see them and remember what to focus on. It gives them to chance to read something and also practice their prosody to match the situation or scene." – N.W.

"The books completely engage my articulation students. I can easily target more than one sound at a time in small group sessions. My older students love that the stories are not childish." – K.M.

"Articulation Theatre Books are a fun way for students to practice target speech sounds." – B.S.

"My students made measurable progress due to their increased motivation to practice scenes. Their frustration decreased and liveliness increased as they acted out these entertaining plays. As a SLP, I found the books' organization, use of colors to target skills, ease of use for group therapy, and motivating humor to be extremely helpful." – C.C., SLP

"My students became jovial and eager to engage in the lesson. This atmosphere was helpful in therapy to encourage them to self-monitor. They continue to maintain the progress made, which is a testament to the increased motivation they experienced when using this thoughtfully organized, fun and motivating program." – P.A., SLP

"Thank you for bringing new life to my speech sessions - especially for my older students and those nearing dismissal who are at the sentence and reading levels!" – J.B., SLP

"These books are amazing! So fun!" – J.C., SLP

"I use the Articulation Theatre books all the time!" – L.J., SLP

"I love these! I use the Artic Theatre books to make inferences. I cover the passage and have them read the words and make a smart guess to figure out what they think the passage would be about. And use for artic - more like a warm-up. I think you need to have discussions after reading each passage and have students monitor their speech sounds while discussing. They can be modified for how you want to use them. But better for carryover." – D.F., SLP

"I love the Articulation Theatre set." – T.M., SLP

"I just got Articulation Theatre. It's really great. The kids like it!" – R.W., SLP

"I got Articulation Theatre this year. I like it for my older kids who are ready to generalize sounds into reading context. Then we can talk about the stories using the vocabulary with their target sounds." – E.S., SLP

"I love Articulation Theatre." – S.K., SLP

"My students have really enjoyed the Articulation Theatre Books in therapy this year! They particularly love the I'm Sorry and Insults sections...we always end with Compliments and Fan Mail!" – J.B., SLP

"My students LOVE their Articulation Theatre Books!" – K.S., SLP

"The performance at the end of the intervention was a way for my students to work towards a goal and have a product (i.e. performance) to highlight their work. The Articulation Theatre Books were instrumental in helping my students achieve their goals." – J.P., SLP
