For monolingual therapists working with bilingual children, another benefit of this book series is that other educators, paraprofessionals, or family members who speak Spanish can be trained to utilize the books to promote appropriate language development in the native language. For example, the English-speaking clinician can work with the child using the English level appropriate for that child while the Spanish-speaking family member or educator is working with the child using the appropriate Spanish level.
This book series is optimal for Spanish speaking or bilingual children ages 2-10 or whose language skills are at a toddler level up to a 3rd-grade level. Ideal for use by SLPs, Teachers, Special Education Teachers, Literacy Specialists, ESL/ESOL/ELL Teachers, and Parents.
The four progressive levels can be tailored for children based on their age and language level. Each level features increasingly complex language.
Level One
Simple nouns, imperative verbs, simple subject-verb-object sentence construction, concrete concepts, third person, present tense.
Level Two
Simple nouns and verbs, simple subject-verb-object sentence construction, concrete concepts, adjectives, some prepositional phrases, third person, present tense.
Level Three
Simple and compound sentences, one or more subordinate clauses, concrete and abstract concepts, more nouns and adjectives, prepositional phrases, adverbs, interrogative forms, first and third person, present and past tense.
Level Four
Compound and complex sentences, one or more subordinate clauses, concrete and abstract concepts, more nouns and adjectives, prepositional phrases, adverbial clauses, interrogative forms, advanced verbs, first and third person, present, past, and future tense.
Ana Paula G. Mumy, SLPD, CCC-SLP, is a trilingual speech-language pathologist and a clinical assistant professor in the field of speech-language pathology. She has extensive experience working with individuals with communication disorders, particularly bilingual children. She has authored numerous courses, webinars, articles as well as intervention materials and guides for diverse populations. Her specialized interests include articulation disorders, stuttering, language-literacy, and bilingualism. Ana Paula is the author of GROW! ¡CREZCA! Language Building Storybooks.

RETURN POLICY:

If a product is returned in unused and in good condition, a full refund will be processed, minus shipping and handling charges.
